Sustained, disciplined pilgrimage practice—bathing and offering water with sincerity for a month—can confer immense spiritual merit, comparable to major sacrifices, highlighting an accessible path of dharma grounded in purity and devotion rather than costly ritual display.
Ajadriya is describing the greatness (māhātmya) of specific holy places: the confluence of the Gaḍā and Yamunā and Mount Kālagjara, stating the extraordinary merit gained by observing a month-long regimen of bathing and water-offerings there.
