Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
राजन! जो गाते-बजाते, नाचते, खेल-कूदकर तमाशा दिखाते, व्यर्थकी बातें बनाते और पहलवानी करते हैं, वे भी निमन्त्रण पानेके अधिकारी नहीं हैं ।।
rājan! hotāro vṛṣalānāṃ ca vṛṣalādhyāpakās tathā | tathā vṛṣalaśiṣyāś ca rājan nārhanti ketanam ||
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、歌い奏で、舞い、遊戯や曲芸で見世物をし、むだ口をたたき、相撲・格闘に携わる者もまた、招かれるにふさわしくない。さらに、人々の主よ。シュードラ（Śūdra）のために祭式を執り行う祭官、彼らを教える者、また彼らの弟子となって教えを乞う者、あるいは彼らに仕える者も、シュラーダ（śrāddha）に招くべきではない。」
