Gṛhastha-Vrata
idaṁ yaḥ kathayed vidvān ahany ahani bhārata | sudarśanasya caritaṁ puṇyān lokān avāpnuyāt ||
Regularly recounting the life and conduct of a dharmic exemplar (here, Sudarśana) is itself a virtuous discipline; it cultivates right values and yields spiritual merit, described as attaining puṇya-lokas.
Bhīṣma concludes or endorses the account of Sudarśana by stating its phala-śruti (benefit statement): a learned person who narrates this story daily gains access to meritorious realms.
