विषये वासवस्तस्य सम्यगेव प्रवर्षति । इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी और युद्धसे कभी पीछे न हटनेवाले राजा दुर्योधनके राज्यमें इन्द्र सदा ठीक समयपर और उचित मात्रामें ही वर्षा करते थे

viṣaye vāsavas tasya samyag eva pravarṣati |

ビーシュマは語った。「その王の国では、ヴァーサヴァ(インドラ)が雨をまことに正しく降らせた—時を違えず、量も過不足なく。これはドゥルヨーダナの国が外見上は繁栄し秩序立っていたことを示すが、同時に、義と行いの深き是非は繁栄ではなくダルマによって裁かれるべきだと含意している。」
