सहधर्म-प्रश्नः तथा अष्टावक्रोपाख्यान-प्रस्तावः

य: पठेत शुचि: पार्थ ब्रह्मचारी जितेन्द्रिय: । अभग्नयोगो वर्ष तु सो5श्वमेधफलं लभेत्
yaḥ paṭheta śuciḥ pārtha brahmacārī jitendriyaḥ | abhagnayogo varṣaṃ tu so ’śvamedhaphalaṃ labhet ||
風神ヴァーユは言った。「おおパールタよ、身を清らかに保ち、梵行（ブラフマチャリヤ）を守り、諸感官を制した者が、この讃歌を一年のあいだ絶えずヨーガに安住して誦するなら、アシュヴァメーダ（馬祭）の果報に等しい功徳を得る。」
