रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
भक्त्या हाुनन्यमीशानं परं देव॑ सनातनम् | कर्मणा मनसा वाचा भावेनामिततेजस:
bhaktyā hāunanyam īśānaṁ paraṁ devaṁ sanātanam | karmaṇā manasā vācā bhāvenāmitatejasaḥ ||
ヴァーユは言った。「帰依をもってイーシャーナ—至高にして永遠の神—を礼拝せよ。行い、心、言葉、そして内なる情感によって、揺るがぬ一念でこの世の主、常住の神シヴァを繰り返し観想する者は—目覚めても眠っても、歩いても座しても、さらには眼を開き閉じするその瞬間にさえ—量り知れぬ霊的光輝を具える。さらに、彼について聞き、語り、偉大さを語り合い、この讃歌によって絶えず讃える者は、自らもまた讃えられるに足る者となり、常に満ち足りて、その帰依の中に歓びを得る。」
वायुदेव उवाच
Single-pointed devotion to Śiva—expressed through action, thought, speech, and heartfelt intention—purifies the devotee and yields ‘amita-tejas’, an immeasurable spiritual potency. Continual remembrance, praise, and sharing of His glory are presented as ethical-spiritual disciplines that lead to contentment and inner joy.
In Anuśāsana Parva, Vāyu speaks in praise of Śiva and describes the conduct and fruits of devoted worship: constant meditation in all daily states (waking, sleeping, moving, resting) and ongoing recitation/listening of Śiva’s praises. The passage frames devotion as a lived practice rather than a momentary ritual.
