Educational Q&A

The verse identifies the Supreme as both the highest spiritual end (nirvāṇa/mokṣa) and the highest cosmic station (brahmaloka), emphasizing that liberation and ultimate refuge are found in the same transcendent reality that also stands behind all beings—even opposing classes like devas and asuras.

Vāyudeva is praising and defining the nature of the Supreme (the ultimate divine principle/person), describing it through exalted epithets: as the goal of liberation, the giver of bliss, the highest realm, and the creator and final support of both gods and demons.
