सह तैर्मुनिभि: सर्वैस्तदा व्यासादिभिनन॑प । नरेश्वर! इस प्रकार सबके देखते-देखते भीष्मजीका शरीर क्षणभरमें बाणोंसे रहित हो गया। यह देखकर व्यास आदि समस्त मुनियोंसहित भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण आदिको बड़ा विस्मय हुआ
saha tair munibhiḥ sarvais tadā vyāsādibhir nṛpa | nareśvara, itthaṁ sarveṣāṁ paśyatāṁ bhīṣmasya śarīraṁ kṣaṇamātreṇa bāṇair vinirmuktaṁ babhūva | tad dṛṣṭvā vyāsādi-samastaiḥ munibhiḥ saha bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇa-ādayaś ca mahad vismayaṁ jagmuḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、そのときヴィヤーサを首とするすべての牟尼たちと共に、万人の見守る中で、ビーシュマの身体は一瞬にして矢をことごとく失い、矢なき身となった。これを見て、バガヴァーンたるシュリー・クリシュナでさえ、またヴィヤーサに率いられた聖仙たちも、大いなる驚嘆に打たれた。」
