सत्कर्ता कुरुवृद्धानां पितृभक्तो महाव्रत: । जामदग्न्येन रामेण य: पुरा न पराजित:
satkartā kuruvṛddhānāṁ pitṛbhakto mahāvrataḥ | jāmadagnyena rāmeṇa yaḥ purā na parājitaḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「彼はクル族の長老たちをしかるべく敬い、祖先への孝敬に篤く、大いなる誓願に堅く立っていた。昔、ジャマダグニの子ラーマ（パラシュラーマ）でさえ、彼を打ち破ることはできなかった。」
