उत्थाय सलिलात् तस्माद् रुदती शोकविह्नलला । परिदेवयती तत्र कौरवानभ्यभाषत
utthāya salilāt tasmād rudatī śokavihvalā | paridevayatī tatra kauravān abhyabhāṣata ||
その水より姿を現した彼女は、悲嘆に呑まれて涙を流し、声をあげて泣いた。そこで嘆き悲しみつつ、カウラヴァたちに語りかけた――起こったことの真実と、正しき行い（ダルマ）の光のもとにおけるビーシュマの価値と徳を告げようとするかのように。
