यथा ह्ुपस्थितैश्वर्या: प्रजायन्ते न राजसा: । एवमेवात्मना5७त्मानं पूजयन्तीह धार्मिका:
yathā hy upasthitaiśvaryāḥ prajāyante na rājasāḥ | evam evātmanātmānaṃ pūjayantīha dhārmikāḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「すでに確立した主権を有する者が、ラジャス（激情）に駆られた努力によって再生を求めぬように、この世の義なる者もまた、自己をもって自己（アートマン）を敬う。規律あるダルマの修行によって内なる存在を高め、より高き境地に至り、ラジャスの支配によって再び生死の輪へ落ちぬよう慎むのだ。」
