एक एव चरेद्‌ धर्म न धर्मध्वजिको भवेत्‌ | धर्मवाणिजका होते ये धर्ममुपभुज्जते

Transliteration

eka eva cared dharmaṁ na dharmadhvajiko bhavet | dharmavāṇijakā hote ye dharmam upabhuñjate ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「たとえ独りであってもダルマを実践せよ。ダルマを旗印にして見せびらかす者となってはならぬ。ダルマを生業の手段とし、利のためにダルマを『食い物』にする者は、正しさの商人にすぎない。」
