तस्मात्‌ पापं न गूहेत गूहमानं विवर्धयेत्‌ । कृत्वा तत्‌ साधुष्वाख्येयं ते तत्‌ प्रशमयन्त्युत

Transliteration

tasmāt pāpaṃ na gūheta gūhamānaṃ vivardhayet | kṛtvā tat sādhūṣv ākhyeyaṃ te tat praśamayanty uta ||

Translation

ゆえに、自らの過ちを隠してはならぬ。隠された罪はただ増すばかりである。もしそのような罪を犯したなら、徳ある聖者に告白せよ。彼らは助言と矯正と贖罪によって、それを鎮めてくれる。
