एतैश्वान्यैश्व बहुभिग्ुणैर्युक्तान् कर्थं कपान् | विजेष्यथ निवर्तथ्व॑ निवृत्तानां सुखं हि व:
etaiś cānyaiś ca bahubhir guṇair yuktān kathaṃ kapān | vijeṣyatha nivartadhvaṃ nivṛttānāṃ sukhaṃ hi vaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「これらの徳、さらに多くの徳を備えたカパ族（Kapas）を、どうして汝らが打ち破れるというのか。この望ましからぬ企てから身を引け。真の安寧と利益は、抑制と退却のうちにこそある。」
