अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”

Transliteration

aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |

Translation

チャヤヴァナ（Cyavana）は言った。「アシュヴィン双神（Aśvins）とともに、あらゆる熱と苦悩を離れて、ソーマ（Soma）を共に飲もう。」 周囲の物語では、聖仙に逆らうことの帰結を恐れた神々が互いに相談し、インドラにこう告げる。「神々の王よ、最上のブラーフマナたるチャヤヴァナに礼拝せよ（敵対は得策ではない）。そうすれば我らは安んじて、アシュヴィン双子とともにソーマを飲める。」
