अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
यानि च प्रथितान्यादौ तण्डिराख्यातवान् मम । नामानि मानवश्रेष्ठ तानि त्वं शृणु सिद्धये
yāni ca prathitāny ādau taṇḍir ākhyātavān mama | nāmāni mānavaśreṣṭha tāni tvaṃ śṛṇu siddhaye ||
ヴァーユは言った。「人のうち最勝の者よ、成就のために、太初より名高きその名号を聴け。かつて聖仙タンディが私に語った名号である。それを聴聞することは霊的成就を授けると言われる。」
