रमणीयाश्व भूतानां निधानं च धृतव्रता: । प्रणेतारशक्षु लोकानां शास्त्राणां च यशस्विन:
ramaṇīyāś ca bhūtānāṁ nidhānaṁ ca dhṛtavratāḥ | praṇetāraś ca lokānāṁ śāstrāṇāṁ ca yaśasvinaḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「彼らはあらゆる生きとし生けるものにとって喜ばしく、愛される存在であり、高貴なる宝である。誓戒に堅く、世の導き手として—シャーストラ（śāstra）の著者にして護持者として—大いなる名声を備えている。」
