The verse teaches dharmic conduct toward the truly great: when encountering divine or exemplary persons, one should seek their darśana and offer due honor. Respect (māna) is presented as an ethical obligation aligned with recognizing virtue and divinity.
Īśvara identifies two extraordinary, divine heroes—Balarāma and Kṛṣṇa—by their emblems (plough and discus) and instructs that they are worthy of being approached, seen, and honored.
