Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
śrīmaheśvara uvāca āgamā lokadharmāṇāṁ maryādāḥ sarvanirmitāḥ | prāmāṇyenānuvartante dṛśyante ca dūḍhabratāḥ ||
That āgamas/traditional authoritative teachings function as the established standards (maryādā) for worldly conduct (lokadharma), and people—especially the disciplined and vow-bound—follow them because they are accepted as valid authority (prāmāṇya).
Śrī Maheśvara is speaking in an instructive mode, explaining how norms of conduct in society are grounded in recognized authoritative traditions, and noting that steadfast practitioners are visibly committed to following those standards.
