अन्निहोत्रमुपासं श्व जुद्दानश्व॒ यथाविधि । सर्वातिथ्यमुपातिष्ठन्‌ शेषान्नकृतभोजन:

agnihotram upāsaṁś ca juhuyād aśvaṁ yathāvidhi | sarvātithyam upātiṣṭhan śeṣānna-kṛta-bhojanaḥ ||

マハーデーヴァは言った。「アグニホートラ(Agnihotra)を常に奉持し、規定に従って聖火へ供物を投じよ。すべての客を正しいもてなしで敬い、他者を先に饗してから後に自ら食し、供献の残りを己の食とせよ。かく家住の務めにおいて—節し、へりくだり、定められた儀礼に忠実であることにより—祭祀と自制と奉仕によってダルマを支えるのである。」
