Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
हंसकाकमयूराणां कृकलासकसारसाम् | रूपाणि च बलाकानां गृध्रचक्राज़््योरपि
haṃsakākamayūrāṇāṃ kṛkalāsakasārasām | rūpāṇi ca balākānāṃ gṛdhracakrājyor api ||
ヴァースデーヴァは言った。「大いなる神マハーデーヴァ（シヴァ）は、白鳥、烏、孔雀、蜥蜴、鶴の姿を取り、さらに鷺、禿鷲、そしてチャクラヴァーカ鳥の形をも帯びる。かくして主は数知れぬ生きものの相として現れ、神性があらゆる存在に遍満し、いかなる生類も敬うべき範囲の外にないことを示される。」
