अपि क्रतुशतैरिष्टवा क्षयं गच्छति तद्धवि: । नतु क्षीयन्ति ते धर्मा: श्रद्दधानै: प्रयोजिता:

Transliteration

api kratuśatair iṣṭvā kṣayaṃ gacchati taddhaviḥ | na tu kṣīyanti te dharmāḥ śraddadhānaiḥ prayojitāḥ ||

Translation

たとえ幾百の供犠を修しても、その供物（havis）の果はやがて減じ尽きる。だが信（śraddhā）をもって行ずる諸ダルマ——正しき行いの規律——は減じない。篤信の者が実践するかぎり、それは久しく存し、その道徳の力は揺らがず尽きない。
