Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | salilasya aghaṃ jaliṃ pūrṇam akṣatāś ca ghṛtottarāḥ | somasya uttiṣṭhamānasya taj jalaṃ cākṣatāṃś ca tān |

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。月が昇るとき、人が月に向かって立ち、満ちた一掬（アンジャリ）の水を、ギーとアクシャタ（砕けぬ穀粒）とともに捧げるなら、その供養はアグニホートラ（Agnihotra）の務めを果たしたものと見なされる。かくしてガールハパティヤ（Gārhapatya）など三つの聖火も、正しく供物を受けて満たされたとされるのである。
