Transliteration

atra yas tv antimaḥ piṇḍo gacchate jātavedasam

Translation

ここにおいて、最後の葬送供物たるピṇḍaは、ジャータヴェーダス——供物を運ぶ火神アグニ——へと送られる。これは、亡き者を聖なる秩序に委ね、生ける者が死者へのダルマを果たす、その終の儀礼が成就したしるしである。
