Conduct of the Virtuous Wife
यथा वेदा: स्वधीताश्ष यथा चेन्द्रियसंयम: । सर्वत्यागो यथा चेह तथा दानमनुत्तमम्
yathā vedāḥ svadhītāś ca yathendriya-saṃyamaḥ | sarva-tyāgo yathā ceha tathā dānam anuttamam ||
ヴィヤーサは言った。「ヴェーダを勤勉に学ぶこと、諸感官を制すること、そして一切の所有を捨てることが優れた行いとされるように、この世においても布施(dāna)は最上の徳と見なされる。」
