Maitreya–Vyāsa Saṃvāda
अहं त्वां दर्शनादेव तारयामि तपोबलात् । तपोबलाद्धि बलवद् बलमन्यजन्न विद्यते,मैं अपने तपोबलसे केवल दर्शनमात्र देकर तुम्हारा उद्धार कर दूँगा; क्योंकि तपोबलसे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई श्रेष्ठ बल नहीं है
ahaṃ tvāṃ darśanād eva tārayāmi tapobalāt | tapobalād dhi balavad balam anyajan na vidyate ||
ヴィヤーサは言った。「私の苦行の力によって、ただ見るだけでおまえを救い上げよう。なぜなら、タパス（霊的修行）より生まれる力に勝る、より優れた力はこの世にないからだ。」
