Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna

कीट उवाच इदं तदतुलं स्थानमीप्सितं दशभिर्गुणै: । यदहं प्राप्य कीटत्वमागतो राजपुत्रताम्
kīṭa uvāca idaṃ tad atulaṃ sthānam īpsitaṃ daśabhir guṇaiḥ | yad ahaṃ prāpya kīṭatvam āgato rājaputratām ||
虫は言った。「バガヴァンよ！ 今日、私は比類なき境地を得ました。たとえ十生を経てでも到達したいと願っていたものです。自らの過ちにより虫の身に堕ちた私が、あなたの恩寵によって、いま王子の位に至りました。」
