मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

अमृताशी वसंस्तत्र स वितृष्ण: प्रमोदते । देवर्षिचरितं राजन्‌ राजर्षिभिरनुछितम्‌

amṛtāśī vasaṃs tatra sa vitṛṣṇaḥ pramodate | devarṣicaritaṃ rājan rājarṣibhir anūcitam, yugakalpasahasrāṇi trīṇy āvasati vai sukham |

ビーシュマは言った。「そこでは甘露を食として生き、渇愛を離れて歓喜する。王よ、その天なる相を具えた者は、王仙たちが説き伝えた天仙(神聖なるリシ)の行状を聴き、思惟する。さらに最上の天車に乗り、麗しき乙女らと恍惚の歓楽に戯れつつ、三千のユガとカルパのあいだ、安らかにそこに住する。この段は、上界の享楽が、貪りによる把持ではなく、無欲と高き範の修養によってこそ味わわれることを示す。」
