इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें बड़े और छोटे भाईका पारस्परिक बरतावनामक एक सौ पाँचवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraḥ śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi antargate dānadharmaparvaṇi baḍe ca choṭe bhrātroḥ paraspara-vyavahāra-nāmakaḥ ekaśata-pañcamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
かくして、聖なる『マハーバーラタ』のアヌシャーサナ・パルヴァ（Anuśāsana Parva）におけるダーナ・ダルマ（布施の法）の部に属し、「兄と弟の相互のふるまい」と題する第百五章は終わる。これは、家族の倫常をダルマの一環として説く教え—とりわけ兄弟間の敬意、義務、相互の責任—が一段落したことを告げる結語である。
