आचारप्रशंसा

Praise of Ācāra as the Basis of Longevity, Fame, and Prosperity

मूत्रं नोत्तिषठतता कार्य न भस्मनि न गोव्रजे । आर्द्रपादस्तु भुंजीत नार्द्रपादस्तु संविशेत्‌,खड़ा होकर पेशाब न करे। राखमें और गोशालामें भी मूत्र त्याग न करे, भीगे पैर भोजन तो करे, परंतु शयन न करे

mūtraṃ nottiṣṭhatā kāryaṃ na bhasmani na govraje | ārdrapādas tu bhuñjīta nārdrapādas tu saṃviśet ||

ビーシュマは言った。「立ったまま小便してはならぬ。灰の上にも、牛舎の中にも小便してはならぬ。足が濡れていても食事はしてよいが、濡れた足のまま横になって眠ってはならぬ。」正しい行いを説くこの段において、ビーシュマは身体の規律と清浄の掟を定め、日常の所作すらもダルマの一部、清らかな場所への敬虔として扱うのである。
