अप्यदृष्टं श्रवादेव पुरुषं धर्मचारिणम्‌ | भूतिकर्माणि कुर्वाणं तं जना: कुर्वते प्रियम्‌

Transliteration

apy adṛṣṭaṃ śravād eva puruṣaṃ dharmacāriṇam | bhūtikarmāṇi kurvāṇaṃ taṃ janāḥ kurvate priyam ||

Translation

ビーシュマは言った。「たとえその人を一度も見たことがなくとも、人々はただその名を聞くだけで、ダルマに従って生きる者を慕うようになる—他者に安寧と繁栄をもたらす行いに励んでいると知るとき、なおさらである。」
