तत्रापि प्रयतो राजन् नहुषस्त्रिदिवे वसन् । मानुषीश्रैव दिव्याश्व कुर्वाणो विविधा: क्रिया:
tatrāpi prayato rājan nahuṣas tridive vasan | mānuṣīś caiva divyāś ca kurvāṇo vividhāḥ kriyāḥ ||
ビーシュマは言った。「王よ、彼はそこ—天界に住まう間でさえ—心を清らかに整え、戒めを守るナフシャ王として、人の営みも神々の営みも、さまざまな行いを絶やさず修していた。」
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma is sustained by disciplined conduct: even in heaven, a righteous king does not abandon purposeful action and observance; purity of intention and continued right practice remain essential.
Bhishma describes King Nahusha’s conduct while residing in Svarga, emphasizing that Nahusha continued to perform a range of prescribed acts—both human and celestial—showing ongoing commitment to duty rather than complacency in heavenly enjoyment.
