पृथिव्युवाच ऋषय: पितरो देवा मनुष्याश्नैव माधव । इज्याश्वैवार्चनीयाश्व॒ यथा चैव निबोध मे

Transliteration

pṛthivy uvāca—ṛṣayaḥ pitaro devā manuṣyāś caiva mādhava | ijyāś caivārcanīyāś ca yathā caiva nibodha me ||

Translation

大地は言った。「マーダヴァよ。リシたち、祖霊（ピトリ）たち、神々、そして人として訪れる客人もまた、皆、敬われねばならぬ。彼らは供養され、しかるべく礼拝されるべきである。今より、その正しい作法を私が説く。聞け。」
