इति श्रीमहाभारते आदिपर्वणि सम्भवपर्वणि द्रोणशिष्यपरीक्षायामेकत्रिंशदाधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत आदिपव॑ीके अन्तर्गत सम्भवपर्वनें आचार्य द्रोणके द्वारा शिष्योंकी परीक्षासे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाला एक सौ इकतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti śrīmahābhārate ādiparvaṇi sambhavaparvaṇi droṇaśiṣyaparīkṣāyām ekatriṁśad-adhika-śatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。かくして『聖マハーバーラタ』のアーディ・パルヴァ、ことにサンバヴァ・パルヴァにおいて、ドローナが弟子たちを試す次第を述べた第百三十一章は終わる。この結句は当該部分の完結を告げ、技のみならず規律と意図をも量る、人格と力量の形成的試練としてこの出来事を位置づける。やがてそれらが、叙事詩の道徳的・武的葛藤を形づくるのである。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
