कुमारा ऊचु: अभिवादयामहे ब्रह्मन् नैतदन्येषु विद्यते । को5सि कस्यासि जानीमो वयं कि करवामहे
kumārā ūcuḥ | abhivādayāmahe brahman, na etad anyeṣu vidyate | ko 'si kasya 'si jānīmo vayaṃ; kiṃ karavāmahe ||
若者たちは言った。「尊きバラモンよ、われらはあなたに礼拝いたします。このような武芸の極みは他に見当たりません。あなたは何者で、誰の御子なのですか。ぜひ知りたいのです。お告げください――われらはどのようにお仕えすればよいのでしょうか。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic etiquette: excellence should be met with humility, respectful greeting, and sincere inquiry rather than arrogance or hostility.
After witnessing extraordinary prowess, the young princes respectfully salute the Brahmin-like figure, acknowledge that such skill is rare, ask his identity and lineage, and offer service.
