वृष्णयश्च नृपाश्चान्ये नानादेशसमागता: । वृष्णिवंशी तथा भिन्न-भिन्न देशोंसे आये हुए अन्य नरेश भी उनसे धरनुर्वेदकी शिक्षा लेते थे

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ヴリシュニ族の者たち、そして他の諸王もまた——諸国より集い来たりて——彼からダヌルヴェーダ(弓術の学)の教えを受けていた。かくして各地の統治者は、武の道を規律正しく修める鍛錬を求め、王権は血筋や野望のみによらず、技と秩序、そして正しい師の導きに根ざすべしという理想を映し出した。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Royal authority is ideally supported by disciplined learning and proper instruction—especially in dhanuḥveda—so that power is exercised with competence and restraint rather than mere status.
The narrator states that the Vṛṣṇis and many other kings from different regions gathered and received training in the science of archery from a teacher being described in the surrounding passage.
