Kāraṇa-vyākhyā: Cosmic Agents, Rudra-Forms, Sense-Purity, and Ānanda-Tāratamya

Lord Vishnu (teaching Garuda, Vinata-putra)
Concept: Karma-phala is administered by Hari according to time and order; delusion lies in blaming dharma/bhakti or manipulating outcomes through ignorance.
Vedantic Theme: Īśvara as karma-phala-dātā; surrender aligns one with ṛta/dharma and reduces delusion.
Application: Accept results with equanimity, continue righteous action and devotion; correct wrong beliefs about fate and worship.
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana: Hari as dispenser of karma-phala; exhortations to devotion as remedy for fear and delusion (thematic).
This verse states that Hari (Vāsudeva) is the phalapradā—He dispenses the results of deeds at the proper time, reinforcing that moral causality is divinely administered and unavoidable.
By emphasizing that Vāsudeva grants fruits ‘in due time,’ the verse supports the Garuda Purana framework where post-death experiences and outcomes correspond to one’s karma, while devotion (ekaniṣṭhā-bhakti) is portrayed as a higher orientation amid delusion.
Live with accountability—expect consequences of actions—and cultivate steady devotion and discernment rather than following foolish impulses, since outcomes mature inevitably ‘in their own time.’
