स्वदारभोगे केवलां प्रीतिमेवं हरेरेवं सर्वदाहं करोति / स्तम्बास्त्रादीन्धारियिष्ये सदैव विष्णोः प्रीत्यर्थं नैव गात्रार्थमेव
svadārabhoge kevalāṃ prītimevaṃ harerevaṃ sarvadāhaṃ karoti / stambāstrādīndhāriyiṣye sadaiva viṣṇoḥ prītyarthaṃ naiva gātrārthameva
自らの妻との享楽にのみ喜びを求めるなら、「これはハリへの愛だ」と思っていても、それは常なる内なる灼熱となる。ゆえに私は、身を堅く保ち苦行に耐えるなどの制御と修行を常に行い、ただヴィシュヌを喜ばせるためにのみ、身体のためだけには行わない。

Treat pleasure and bodily routines as secondary; practice restraint and steady habits (austerity, moderation, devotional discipline) with a clear spiritual intention rather than ego, indulgence, or mere bodily maintenance.
