時に、徳ある者の中の最勝よ、他の者どもは汝に強く背く行いをなすことがある。されど我も、また風神ヴァーユも、決して汝に逆らって振る舞わぬ、愛しき者よ。
Lord Vishnu
Concept: Ananya-anukūlya (unwavering non-opposition and favorable alignment) toward the supreme/virtuous lord; constancy in service despite others’ deviation.
Vedantic Theme: Bhakti as steadfast surrender; alignment of will with higher order; diminution of personal ego in favor of divine intention.
Application: Practice consistency: keep vows, values, and devotional commitments even when social pressure encourages contrarian behavior; cultivate ‘anukūlya-saṅkalpa’ (resolve to act favorably).
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.12 (dialogue context: allegiance of cosmic agents to a higher authority)
The verse emphasizes unwavering divine support: even if others oppose a righteous person, the Lord (and Vāyu) do not act against them, reinforcing trust in dharma and devotion.
It reads as reassurance within the instructional dialogue: Vishnu addresses Garuda directly, affirming steadfast alignment with him while teachings on the subtle journey and dharma are being conveyed.
When facing criticism or resistance, stay anchored in ethical conduct and sincere practice; the teaching encourages steadiness and faith rather than reactive hostility.
