ततो ब्राह्मणक्रमेण जलगण्डूषं दत्त्वा पूर्ववत्सव्याहृतिकां गायत्त्रीं मधुवातेतित्र्यृचं जप्त्वा ॐ रुचितं भवद्भिरिति देवब्राह्मणप्रश्रः / सुरुचितमिति तेनोक्ते ॐ शेषमन्नमिति प्रश्रः / इष्टैः सह भोजनम् / पित्रादिब्राह्मणं वामोपवीतेन ॐ तृप्ताः स्थ इति प्रश्रः / ॐ तृप्ताः स्म इति तेनोक्ते भूम्यभ्युक्षणं मण्डलचतुष्कोणं ति लविकिरणम्
tato brāhmaṇakrameṇa jalagaṇḍūṣaṃ dattvā pūrvavatsavyāhṛtikāṃ gāyattrīṃ madhuvātetitryṛcaṃ japtvā oṃ rucitaṃ bhavadbhiriti devabrāhmaṇapraśraḥ / surucitamiti tenokte oṃ śeṣamannamiti praśraḥ / iṣṭaiḥ saha bhojanam / pitrādibrāhmaṇaṃ vāmopavītena oṃ tṛptāḥ stha iti praśraḥ / oṃ tṛptāḥ sma iti tenokte bhūmyabhyukṣaṇaṃ maṇḍalacatuṣkoṇaṃ ti lavikiraṇam
次に、ブラーフマナを敬う正しい順序に従い、口すすぎの水(jala-gaṇḍūṣa)を供え、先と同様に、ヴ்யाहリティ(vyāhṛti)を伴うガーヤトリー(Gāyatrī)を誦し、さらに「madhu vātā…」に始まる三つのリク(ṛk)を唱える。その後、(デーヴァを代表する)ブラーフマナに「オーム、皆さまにとって喜ばしいものでしたか」と問う。彼らが「たいへん喜ばしい」と答えたなら、「オーム、残りの食はどういたしましょう」と問う。ついで親しき者と共に食事を取る。祖霊(Pitṛ)に関わるブラーフマナには、聖紐を逆に掛け(vāmopavīta)、「オーム、満ち足りておられますか」と問う。彼らが「オーム、満ち足りております」と答えたなら、地に水を灑ぎ、方形(四角)の壇域を定め、胡麻を散ずる。
