Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rājasūya Resolve and the Slaying of Jarāsandha
श्रीशुक उवाच एकदा तु सभामध्य आस्थितो मुनिभिर्वृत: । ब्राह्मणै: क्षत्रियैर्वैश्यैर्भ्रातृभिश्च युधिष्ठिर: ॥ १ ॥ आचार्यै: कुलवृद्धैश्च ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिबान्धवै: । शृण्वतामेव चैतेषामाभाष्येदमुवाच ह ॥ २ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ekadā tu sabhā-madhya āsthito munibhir vṛtaḥ brāhmaṇaiḥ kṣatriyair vaiśyair bhrātṛbhiś ca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ
シュリー・シュカデーヴァ・ゴースヴァーミーは語った。ある日、王の सभा の中央にユディシュティラ王が座し、聖仙たち、ブラーフマナ、クシャトリヤ、ヴァイシャ、そして兄弟たちに囲まれていた。師たち、氏族の長老、親族、姻戚、友人が皆聞き入る中、彼は至上主シュリー・クリシュナに呼びかけ、次のように述べた。
