Kṛṣṇa Teases Rukmiṇī; Her Devotional Reply and the Lord’s Assurance
प्रमृज्याश्रुकले नेत्रे स्तनौ चोपहतौ शुचा । आश्लिष्य बाहुना राजननन्यविषयां सतीम् ॥ २७ ॥ सान्त्वयामास सान्त्वज्ञ: कृपया कृपणां प्रभु: । हास्यप्रौढिभ्रमच्चित्तामतदर्हां सतां गति: ॥ २८ ॥
pramṛjyāśru-kale netre stanau copahatau śucā āśliṣya bāhunā rājan ananya-viṣayāṁ satīm
王よ、至上主にして信徒の帰依処たるシュリー・クリシュナは、悲しみの涙で満ちた彼女の眼と、涙に濡れた胸をぬぐい、ただ御身のみを願う貞節な妃ルクミニーを御腕で抱きしめられた。慰めの術に通じた主は、巧みな戯れに心を惑わされた哀れなルクミニーが本来受けるべきでない苦しみを、慈悲をもって優しく鎮められた。
