The Slaying of Narakāsura (Bhaumāsura), Rescue of the Princesses, and the Pārijāta Episode Begins

tāmro ’ntarikṣaḥ śravaṇo vibhāvasur vasur nabhasvān aruṇaś ca saptamaḥ pīṭhaṁ puraskṛtya camū-patiṁ mṛdhe bhauma-prayuktā niragan dhṛtāyudhāḥ
They are leading fighters of Bhauma (Narakāsura)—Tāmra, Antarikṣa, Śravaṇa, Vibhāvasu, Vasu, Nabhasvān, and Aruṇa—marching out under the leadership of the army commander Pīṭha.
Because Lord Kṛṣṇa had come to defeat Narakāsura and liberate those he had oppressed; Narakāsura therefore deployed his chief warriors to confront Kṛṣṇa’s forces.
Adharma often organizes itself with many “commanders” (habits, pressures, temptations); the Bhagavatam’s message is to face them steadily with the right guidance and spiritual weapons—discipline, prayer, and devotion to Kṛṣṇa.
