The Syamantaka Jewel: Accusation, Recovery, and Kṛṣṇa’s Marriage to Satyabhāmā
तमपूर्वं नरं दृष्ट्वा धात्री चुक्रोश भीतवत् । तच्छ्रुत्वाभ्यद्रवत् क्रुद्धो जाम्बवान् बलिनां वर: ॥ २१ ॥
tam apūrvaṁ naraṁ dṛṣṭvā dhātrī cukrośa bhīta-vat tac chrutvābhyadravat kruddho jāmbavān balināṁ varaḥ
その比類なき御方を見て乳母は恐れて叫んだ。その叫びを聞くや、強者の中の最強ジャンバヴァーンは怒りに燃え、主に向かって駆け寄った。
Hearing the frightened cry, Jāmbavān immediately rushes forward in anger, ready to confront the unknown intruder.
Because the figure entering the area is extraordinary and unfamiliar to the residents there—prompting fear and alarm—setting the stage for Jāmbavān’s confrontation.
It shows how sudden fear and misunderstanding can escalate into conflict; discernment and calm inquiry can prevent unnecessary hostility.
