हा नाथ रमण प्रेष्ठ क्वासि क्वासि महाभुज । दास्यास्ते कृपणाया मे सखे दर्शय सन्निधिम् ॥ ३९ ॥
hā nātha ramaṇa preṣṭha kvāsi kvāsi mahā-bhuja dāsyās te kṛpaṇāyā me sakhe darśaya sannidhim
彼女は泣き叫んだ。「ああ主よ、恋人よ、最愛の方よ、どこにおられるのです、どこに？ 大いなる腕の友よ、この哀れな侍女に御身の御臨在をお示しください。」

This verse shows the gopīs’ intense viraha: they call Kṛṣṇa “Lord,” “beloved,” and “friend,” and beg for His darśana, revealing that separation can deepen surrender and longing for His presence.
After Kṛṣṇa disappeared from their sight during the rāsa pastime, the gopīs searched the forest and, overwhelmed by love, sang prayers (Gopī-gīta), pleading for Him to reveal Himself again.
When feeling spiritually distant, pray with humility and honesty—addressing God as protector and friend—and keep seeking His presence through sincere remembrance, chanting, and service.
