ननु स्वार्थविमूढानां प्रमत्तानां गृहेहया । अहो न: स्मारयामास गोपवाक्यै: सतां गति: ॥ ४५ ॥

Transliteration

nanu svārtha-vimūḍhānāṁ pramattānāṁ gṛhehayā aho naḥ smārayām āsa gopa-vākyaiḥ satāṁ gatiḥ

Translation

まことに、家の務めに心を奪われ、私たちは利己に迷い不注意となって、人生の真の目的からすっかり逸れていました。だが見よ、この素朴な牧童の少年たちの言葉を通して、主は聖者たちの至高の到達処を私たちに思い起こさせてくださったのです。
