The Gopīs Glorify the Song of Kṛṣṇa’s Flute
Veṇu-gīta
tad vraja-striya āśrutya veṇu-gītaṁ smarodayam kāścit parokṣaṁ kṛṣṇasya sva-sakhībhyo ’nvavarṇayan
This verse says Kṛṣṇa’s flute-song awakens smara—intense loving remembrance—and moves the Vraja women to speak about Him even when He is not physically present.
Because the flute-song ignites their devotion and longing; overwhelmed by remembrance, they naturally share Kṛṣṇa’s qualities and pastimes with their closest companions.
Use triggers for remembrance—kīrtana, sacred music, japa, or reading līlā—so the heart turns toward Kṛṣṇa and devotional association grows through sharing and discussion.
