Kāliya-damana: Kṛṣṇa Subdues the Serpent and Purifies the Yamunā
anugṛhṇīṣva bhagavan prāṇāṁs tyajati pannagaḥ strīṇāṁ naḥ sādhu-śocyānāṁ patiḥ prāṇaḥ pradīyatām
In this verse, the Nāga-patnīs appeal directly to Bhagavān for mercy, showing that heartfelt surrender and prayer are a devotee’s refuge when life feels helpless.
Seeing Kāliya near death, they plead as dependent wives, calling him their very life, and ask Kṛṣṇa to return their husband out of compassion.
When facing crisis, approach God with humility, honesty, and surrender—praying for guidance and mercy rather than reacting only with fear or anger.
