एवं विमृश्य तं पापं यावदात्मनिदर्शनम् । पूजयामास वै शौरिर्बहुमानपुर:सरम् ॥ ५२ ॥
evaṁ vimṛśya taṁ pāpaṁ yāvad-ātmani-darśanam pūjayām āsa vai śaurir bahu-māna-puraḥsaram
自らの知の及ぶかぎりこのように思案したのち、シャウリ（ヴァスデーヴァ）はその罪深きカンサに大いなる敬意をもって近づき、恭しく自らの提案を申し述べた。
