The Brahmanas’ Petition and the Proposal of Pilgrimage

Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes responsible transmission of counsel: a trustworthy person is instructed to carry an authoritative message to the rightful leader (Yudhiṣṭhira), underscoring the ethical weight of speech and duty in times of uncertainty.

Vaiśampāyana reports that someone addresses a Brahmin traveler, assuring him he will reach the human world and instructing him to deliver specific words to King Yudhiṣṭhira—setting up the relay of crucial information to the Pāṇḍava leader during the exile context.
